This multicultural wedding at the beautiful grounds of WindRiver is packed full of color, not one, but two amazing ceremonies, and sweet traditions. We absolutely can’t get enough, and we know you won’t be able to either! Get the behind-the-scenes details from the bride, Hillary, below!

How did you meet?

“We met through mutual friends at a college hangout. We hit it off and slowly a friendship formed. We finally went on our first date at a local Mexican restaurant and the rest is history!”

What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?

“My favorite quality about my husband is his personality. He has a great sense of humor and is constantly making me laugh. He’s so open and caring. He is my best friend.”

What traditions did you incorporate?

“My husband’s family is from India. We had a traditional Indian ceremony in the morning and a commitment ceremony in the evening. It was a big day for the both of us and we loved being able to incorporate so many traditions from both families.”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?

“I really wanted something outdoors. WindRiver was the perfect fit! Our theme was simple elegance. I chose purple because it is my favorite color and we thought green would compliment really well with both of the ceremonies.”

“It is traditional for Indian brides to wear a red hue on their wedding day. I chose to have that wedding dress custom made with a gold beaded skirt and maroon top. For the commitment ceremony, I choose a strapless gown with satin belt. My cathedral veil was probably my favorite part of that dress.”

What was the most memorable moment?

“Walking down the aisle (twice!) was the the most memorable moments. All of the planning we put into the wedding comes down to that moment. It all felt worth it for that moment.”
