There’s not much we love more than a colorful wedding, a dream team of wedding pro’s, and a couple so intentional in their love for one another! We love all of those things individually, so when combined our hearts can’t take it!
Marian and Eric’s wedding day is just that! Scroll to see all about it!
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“Eric has always wanted to give me his best (and more) in order to fulfill my dreams and ambitions in our life together. For that, I’m enamored by him and overly grateful to find someone in my life that can share my passions and desires for the sake of our future family and life together.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“I knew I was falling for Eric after every simple hug and kiss goodbye during our initial dates. Eric is passionate about everything he does and showing his love for me is no different. I’m so lucky.
I actually ‘spilled the beans’ (the first I love you) as a Freudian slip while walking through the downtown streets where we met. Luckily, he just smiled and with a chuckle, reciprocated. He doesn’t let me forget that though.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I did not have a specific theme or design but looking back on the day, the floral arrangements and chandelier were breathtaking and I would incorporate them again anytime! Thanks Sam Franklin Florals!”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“Eric chose our first dance song, ‘Arms of a Woman’ by Amos Lee. This song means alot to me because it portrays his love and need for my strength and support all the while having a nurturing, comforting and loving relationship and love for each other.”
What traditions did you incorporate?
“My Hispanic Catholic faith incorporated the tradition of ‘arras’ or gold coins, blessed by the Bishop, as a symbol of future success, health and happiness in love and our life together. They also symbolize sacrifice — for each other, but also for those coming to us seeking our care and kindness.”
Though not a routine tradition, we modified our Father Daughter dance to include all our parents. It was a nice moment to have all our parents on the dance floor during Miranda Lamberts’ ‘The House That Built Me.’”
