Heather and Jason have a really sweet engagement story that I simply adore! Jason used the breathtaking views and stunning surroundings of Biltmore Estate in Asheville to help create the perfect proposal to Heather, asking her to be his in a memorable, romantic way. And I’m swooning! Don’t miss the lovely images from their Johnson City engagement session and truly sweet love story below.

How we met:

Jason and I first met when we worked at Walmart together. We worked in the same department for about a year before we started to date. I would always joke with him and say, “You love me, you just don’t know it yet.” After the first date, we’ve been inseparable since! After he graduated from school, he went to work at JCMC in the information systems department. Soon after, I graduated nursing school, and now I too am at JCMC!

The proposal:

One year and five months into our relationship, he planned a weekend getaway to the Biltmore. We stayed in the Biltmore Inn that is on the estate, and it was beautiful. We spent the weekend touring the gorgeous mansion, viewing the grounds and indoor gardens, wine tasting and dining in the Antler Village. The last day we were there, we went to tour the mansion one last time. Before we went in, Jason wanted to walk up the hill in front of the mansion where the gazebo and beautiful statue of Diana sit. From there, you have a gorgeous view of the house, gardens and Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s breathtaking. As we were standing there admiring the spectacular view, Jason got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. Of course, I said YES!

The wedding:

We are set to tie the knot May 10, 2014, at Rose Hill in Johnson City. Team Bridal of East TN is taking care of all the details.

Many congratulations, Jason and Heather! We couldn’t be happier for you.
