Y’all! Get ready for this boho glam wedding in Nashville that is totally #GOALS! Jessica and Rich were so intentional in the planning of their special day and in their relationship which totally shows in their celebrations! We are completely obsessed with this wedding, especially their ceremony decor! Scroll down to see it all!
What is your favorite quality in your husband and/or wife?
Rich: “I fell in love with my wife’s amazing heart. Her personality and love for life is a reflection of her heart which she wears on her sleeve unapologetically everyday. It’s something I’m so drawn to, and love the most about her. I knew the minute I met her I wanted to be with her forever.”
Jessica: “My favorite quality in my husband would have to be his sense of humor. I fell in love with my husband’s sense of humor right at the start. His humor is what keeps me grounded and I always know that he will say something to make me smile and laugh so hard that everyday will be an adventure with him and we will laugh through the good and bad times always.”
How did you meet?
Jessica: “I like to say we met the old fashion way. I had only been living in Nashville for 5 weeks when we met. My twin sister, Jamie, was in town visiting me for the first time since I moved, and I decided to take her to Tin Roof on Demonbreun. We were sitting at the bar drinking our Jim Beam and ginger ales watching all the Vanderbilt students party and have a good time and reminiscing about our time in college. Out of nowhere the group of guys to our left were having a little too much fun and fell into us. There my husband Rich turned to us apologizing for his friends and then introduced himself. So girl walks into a bar and meets her soulmate.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“I think we both knew we were falling in love after our first date. We took a 3 hour walk through Percy Warner Park with my dog Vito and the conversation was like we had known each other for years.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“Boho glam! I wanted to express my personal style and who I am into our wedding. I wanted lots of layers and textures, bold colors and soft candlelight throughout the wedding.”
How about your dress or attire?
“My dress was inspired by wanting to have a dress that was sexy yet glamourous/vintage with a boho style lace. My must-haves were a vintage lace with a low-back and cap sleeve. When I found my dress it had a more traditional sleeve but I took it to a great seamstress that turned it into exactly what I wanted. As for the groom and his groomsmen, I wanted them to wear rich hues of navy blue and slate blue that would look great with all the fall colors in my color palette.”
What was the most memorable moment?
Rich: “Seeing Jessica in her dress for the first time.”
Jessica: “My most memorable moment would have to be when we were exchanging our vows and Rich’s ring not wanting to fit when I was trying to put it on. There is never a dull moment with us and this was true to our nature. We laughed so hard but we got it on!”
What traditions did you incorporate?
“My family is a family of singers and though I was not blessed with a voice to sing my cousin has an amazing voice and agreed to sing all the ceremony music. Which included songs ‘Waiting on a Day’ by John Mayer and ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ by James Arthur which I walked down the aisle to.
Both of our families are also very Polish, so we had to have some polka music. The chicken dance was a hit as well as the honeymoon dance. Some other traditions we incorporated included the garter toss, bouquet toss, father-daughter dance and mother-son dance.
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“Chris Stapleton’s ‘Fire Away.’ We both we’re having trouble picking out a song that really spoke to us about our relationship. It wasn’t until after we left The Pilgrimage Festival after hearing the song sung live by Chris Stapleton that we both looked at each other and said I think I know what song we should dance to. This song is one of the most real, raw and passionate love songs and it is exactly the way we love. We knew that it was the song we wanted to dance together for the first time as husband and wife.”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“Our grand exit was a sparkler exit filled with all our friends and family that danced under the stars with us all night! It was certainly magical and unforgettable.”
Congratulations Jessica & Rich!
