Although not quite in the midst of the traditional wedding season, fall nuptials have been gaining more popularity in the last few years with its beautiful color palette and crisp air.
So, if you are planning on a fall wedding, why not go all out with the perfect venue for the season? While people typically consider outdoor weddings for spring and summer, outdoor ceremonies and receptions can be a great option for fall. But, if the chill has too much bite for you, a cozy cabin or lodge venue might just be the perfect venue. To confirm my hunch, I spoke with Casie Raines of Smoky Mountain wedding venue Flower Mountain Weddings and Receptions to find out why a little cabin nestle in the mountainside could be the perfect fall venue.
1.The leaves are changing!
Who can think about fall without picturing the beautiful fire-bright colors of the leaves? The fall treeline provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding day event. Just to prove how fitting these colors are, Casie even reminds brides that they have inspired recent trends in wedding fashion.
“The colors of fall are such a natural and beautiful backdrop for any bride’s dream wedding in the Smoky Mountains. For example, many of the most popular wedding colors like David’s Bridal’s lapis purple and apple red shades are inspired by the fall color palette.”
2. Cozy on up with loved ones.
There is something about a cabin in the mountains that is so utterly romantic, which, of course, is why one would automatically think of it as a perfect wedding venue. But, as Casie explains, it is also a great environment to share special time with all of those you care about.
“Fall is a time for romance and family! The cooling temperatures and falling leaves are a classic sign for lovers to “cozy up” in a cabin and invite their closest friends and family to celebrate their love for one another.”
3. Get warm by the fire.
Okay, if a mountainside cabin isn’t romantic enough, how about cuddling up by the fire with your honey? Casie says this type of venue offers couples the perfect “getaway” wedding, while still exuding a sense of warmth and a feeling of home.
“Flower Mountain is nostalgic of our mountain heritage, featuring a mountain lodge with the beauty of a natural stacked stone fireplace surrounded with acres of mountain views! Many couples are attracted to our unique setting since it gives them a warm feeling of being at home. It’s natural; they are drawn to the country elegance that has a true feeling of Appalachia for a one of a kind flair to their event.”
