Glittering, gold, greenery-filled, and how many other “G” adjectives can I describe this gorgeous (see what I did there?) wedding in downtown Nashville? In all seriousness though, Jessica and Jeremy’s wedding celebration featuring some golden girls, a pitstop down Broadway, and a fun late night snack is one for the books! We just love a couple who makes their day their own! Start scrolling to see it all with behind-the-scenes details from the bride!

How did you meet?
“We actually met on Tinder — crazy I know, but hey, 1 in 100 must pan out!”

What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“Our favorite qualities complement each other. My favorite thing about Jeremy is that he is easy going, and can fit in and make conversation with anyone, anywhere. He gets along with my family and friends so well, and has really made them his family and friends too. Jeremy’s favorite thing about me is that I’m a planner, and love all things fun. No matter what situation I put him in, we almost always have fun! Thank goodness he’s go with the flow!”

What traditions did you incorporate?
“We had a pretty traditional wedding overall. Because we are both in our 30s, rather than having large bridal parties, we each had a maid of honor/best man, then I incorporated my best girl friends into the ceremony and reception by making them my “Golden Girls.” They all wore their own chosen gold dresses, hung out with me all day, sat at the head table, but didn’t serve as traditional bridesmaids. Jeremy’s ushers were with him all day and also sat with us at the head table, making them hybrid groomsmen/ushers!”

“One of our favorite places in Nashville is Robert’s Western World downtown, so between our ceremony and reception, our bridal party took a trolley downtown and stopped for some photos on Broadway. Jeremy and I had to make a pit stop into Robert’s for a shot, a picture and a shout out from the band (and the whole bar!) It was a fun memory!”

“Other fun things to note – at the reception we hosted a cigar bar because my dad and his buddies are big cigar smokers, and Jeremy (kind of) asked my dad for permission to marry me over cigars on a VERY cold December night in Indiana. We treated guests to a late night hot dog stand at the end of the night as well. I’m known for my love of hot dogs, and notoriously going on ‘hot dog dates’ throughout my time in Nashville, so we found it only fitting that our guests would get to have their own hot dog date at the end of the night!”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“We wanted our wedding to be a mix of classy and fun. We wanted to err on the side of traditional, but make sure it was modern too. The design inspiration was gold/greenery/soft lighting. I don’t care much about flowers, so I wanted almost all greenery, and it looked AWESOME! We had hanging greenery fixtures, candlelight, string lights, and lots of gold accents to really complement the exposed brick warehouse feel of Marathon Music Works.”

How about your dress or attire?
“I was obsessed with my dress! It was the Kenny gown in blush by the Hayley Paige collection.”

What was the most memorable moment?
“Oh my gosh – how can I pick just ONE most memorable moment? There were so many, but here are some highlights:
- Right after being announced as husband and wife, looking out in the church at all of our family and friends cheering for us, and soaking in that moment. I have never felt more loved!
- My maid of honor’s toast was just perfect. She shared the story of how we met in 7th grade at an academic bowl, and how her mom made her give me a good luck balloon against her will, then she shared a good luck balloon with Jeremy.
- In his welcome speech, my dad had the guests rolling with laughter as he pulled out our cell phone bill and passed it to Jeremy, claiming that I’m now officially on his phone plan!
- Our first dance was so fun because we actually took dance lessons to prepare. I think Jeremy was more nervous about the dance than anything else that day. He was SO proud when we nailed our dip at the end!”

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“We chose ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E. King mainly because Jeremy is a music nerd and loves that song. Music was the one area that I let Jeremy take control of in the wedding planning!”

Tell us about your grand exit!
“No grand exit. Just hot dogs as mentioned above, and then off to Paradise Park to celebrate more!”
