I guess you can call me Pink Wife Ginger now! Brent and I have been married for almost two weeks! I can’t believe how fast time is flying. I wanted to share some thoughts about my wedding day with fellow Pink Brides!

I stressed about the wedding almost every day for two years during the planning process. I didn’t think it would be possible, but thanks to my great vendors, I was actually able to relax on my wedding day! Every bride I talked to said that the day would absolutely fly by. We had such a long day (hair and makeup at 7:45 AM, pictures starting at 1 PM, and ceremony starting at 6PM) I thought it would drag, but I seriously feel like I blinked and the day was over. It was almost surreal because I had been dreaming of and planning for the day for so long, I couldn’t believe it was finally here.  Even though I hadn’t wanted to do a “first look”, I’m so glad I did. It was such a great moment for Brent and I to share with each other and it helped take away a lot of the nerves we were both feeling. Having him by my side throughout the majority of the day helped me keep my stress level down, even when things weren’t going perfect. Luckily, he, my bridesmaids, and my mom made sure I was unaware of any issues on the wedding day, as well. When I was starting to stress over what the ceremony and reception spaces looked like (I didn’t see what either space until the wedding started), I had wonderful people surrounding me who were reassuring me that everything looked beautiful. Everyone was so great and our day was beyond perfect.  I am so glad I was actually able to relax and enjoy the day I had been working so hard for because it definitely would have been a shame to miss out on a single moment.
