Heather and Jason’s wedding at The Capitol Theatre was nothing short of GLAMOROUS! This couple made Knoxville look and feel just like Hollywood for their special day. From unique traditions to spot-on themed decor, this wedding was a show-stopper!
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
Jason is always genuine. I love that about him.
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
What traditions did you incorporate?
We wanted a unique unity ceremony and took inspiration from the African tradition of Tasting the Four Elements of marriage: sour, bitter, hot, and sweet.
When did you know you were falling in love?
When I first knew Jason in college, I mentioned that I loved skeleton keys in passing. Jason surprised me soon after with several authentic skeleton keys. Because he would be graduating soon, we parted ways but I held on to those keys. Seven years later we each carried a key in our wedding attire to remember where our love story first began. One hung from my bouquet and the other was tied into Jason’s boutonnière.
Tell us about your grand exit!
We continued the vintage Hollywood theme by leaving in an elegant black and white 1957 Bentley with an authentic British chauffeur.
How would you describe your big day in 3 words?
Hollywood Glam Revival
What was the most memorable moment?
Our first dance was a magical moment where time suspended during the hectic wedding day festivities. For those two minutes there was only us. We couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque setting with the grand chandelier, billowing fog, and spot lights.
Congratulations Heather and Jason from all of us at The Pink Bride!
