Sarah and Trey’s adventure-inspired wedding, photographed by Danielle Evans Photography, was perfectly personalized. This couple shared their love story and their favorite hobby, traveling, within every detail of their special day. Read more about their greatest adventure yet from Sarah:
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
This was actually a question that was read during our wedding ceremony. The pastor had us each write down what we loved most about the other. I couldn’t choose just one thing, so I listed five! Ha! One of my favorite qualities about Trey is that he loves adventure as much as I do. We love traveling and learning new things together, and I wouldn’t want to have these adventures with anyone else!
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
We did everything in a travel theme! We dated long-distance for six years, so traveling was a huge part of our relationship. The easiest way for us to get to see each other was to meet up and travel together. We decided to go all out with the travel theme – we had a train museum, arrivals board, guest globe, and the cutest travel decorations. We also designed each table at our reception to represent a country that we had traveled to together. This was our little way to add our own personal touches to our big day and let our guests in on our adventures together.
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“Loving You, Loving Me” by Dave Barnes. Our very first date was to a Dave Barnes concert, so it was just perfect for us. We then broke out into a choreographed dance to “You’re the One That I Want” and “Turn Down for What” (with the bridal party)! It was SO MUCH FUN.
Tell us about your grand exit!
After dancing the night away, we had all our family and friends line up and throw flowers petals at us! It was so special to have all our favorite people there to send us off. We then got into a Rolls Royce and drove around downtown Knoxville. It felt like we were in our own little parade!
What was the most memorable moment?
Oh man, there were so many amazing moments that come to mind! I think if I had to pick, it would be right before I walked down the aisle. There are so many emotions when you’re about to walk into a church and marry the man of your dreams! My dad could tell that I was all of a sudden SO nervous. He grabbed my hand real tight and calmed all my nerves right before the doors opened. It was such a sweet moment.
Congratulations Sarah and Trey from all of us at The Pink Bride!
