Weddings are all about two people coming together to celebrate their love with their nearest and dearest! Rachael and Justin’s beautiful ceremony and reception was the purest definition of that! Taking influences from her personality and background, Rachael envisioned a glam, rustic wedding that we are so smitten with! Check it all out below!
What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?
Rachael: “My husband is so thoughtful to my needs and others.”
Justin: “My wife’s overall personality is my favorite.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I had many different inspirations for my wedding. I looked at many different weddings in magazines, the Internet, and from weddings I attended. I would find bits and pieces I adored and would ‘take note.’ I think the inspiration or theme of my wedding came from personality. I love the glitz and glamour type of decor (sequins, flowers everywhere, and gold or diamonds), but I come from roots of a small town girl from Washington state. I wanted that to be showcased . I think I accomplished that by putting my style of decor such as flowers and details of the smallest of things into a beautiful outdoor rustic setting.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“‘Who I Am With You’ by Chris young. It was picked by the groom!”
What traditions did you incorporate?
“In both of our families, we don’t have younger relatives, so our flower girl and ring bearer was Justin’s 15 year old younger sister and the best man. We had a first look before the wedding itself because we really wanted to be able to have an intimate moment before all the craziness began. It was worth it and my nerves were calmed! Lastly, my husband’s parents are deceased, so it was very important to us that we highlighted that they were there during the ceremony and my husband danced with his mamaw during the reception as the first dance.”
Congratulations Rachael and Justin!
