Courtney Wolf & Jonathan Price
Featured in the Summer 2013 issue of Knoxville Pink Bride Magazine
It all started with dinner at the Sunspot, where we had a wonderful date just relaxing after a long week of work (or at least I was, since Jonathan already had the ring in the box in his sock!). We had planned to go for a walk around campus after dinner to see some of the new construction that had been done, so when we finished eating, Jonathan asked if starting near the stadium was ok. I said sounds great. So off we went to Staff Lot 9 (our tailgating lot), and we got out and started walking towards the main gate of Neyland Stadium, and Jonathan said, “Hold on, I’ve got something in my shoe.” So I just started gazing around and all of a sudden I hear, “Courtney Wolf, turn around.” And to my surprise, Jonathan was down on one knee, with a ring box in his hand, and asked, “Courtney, will you do me the honor of spending the rest of your life with me?” I said something along the lines of are you kidding me? Of course I will!! Then he told me that my best friend and her husband were hidden in the bushes taking pictures, so about then they popped out wearing all navy except their camo hats! It was absolutely perfect!!
The entire wedding day was just perfect! Our friends and family were all there to support us and celebrate the beginning of our new life together! One of the most memorable moments for me was during our first look before the ceremony. Jonathan came around the corner of the barn and was speechless and a little teary-eyed. It was exactly the look I had hoped for! The guys all wore grey suits with orange striped ties, and the bridesmaids wore orange dresses. Our two nephews were our ringbearers and wore grey pants with white shirts and orange polka dot suspenders and bowties. The ceremony was so special because our officiant was a family friend who personalized the ceremony just for us, including a comment about the hat Jonathan always wears! That made everyone laugh! After the ceremony, we left in Jonathan’s 1965 Mustang convertible that was handed down to him from his grandfather! We went down the hill and toasted with champagne and took some fantastic photos!
The reception was so much fun! We ate wonderful food and cake and laughed and danced with family and friends! The evening ended much too soon with the release of paper lanterns for our loved ones in heaven and a wonderful sparkler exit!
I had a great experience with all the professionals we chose! Everyone was so helpful and professional! I would recommend any one of them to any one! Emily and Jan at Bluebird Hill were wonderful and kept everything running smoothly on the day of the wedding! All my vendors produced wonderful food, flowers, music, and linens!! And the photographer, Danielle, was AMAZING as you can tell by the photos! Thanks to all of them for making our dream wedding a reality!
