Guys! This wedding is the definition of cool! Grace and Bobby’s wedding in Chattanooga has everything from a industrial venue, leather & velvet jackets, two beautiful wedding gowns (one with a twist, too!), and confetti! Inspiration central over here! We can’t get enough, and we know you won’t either! Scroll down to see it all, and get behind-the-scenes details from the bride!
How did you meet?
“Bobby is one of my older brother’s best friends since high school. We have known each other for probably almost 10 years but started dating 2.5 years ago.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“Because we’ve known each other for so long, once we started to have feelings for each other we knew it was something big!”
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“What I love most about Bobby is how intentional he is with everyone in his life. He is incredibly genuine and will always try to do whatever he can for the people he loves.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“While planning the wedding, people always laughed when they heard my answer to this question. I wanted a ‘rock n roll, gypsy, fairy’s dreamland’ haha!”
How about your dress or attire?
“I am always known to wear something that is nontraditional, unusual, definitely not subtle or something along those lines. But for my wedding dress, while I definitely wanted to feel like myself, I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t look back at it and say ‘WOW GRACE, you should’ve done less….’ so my Martina Liana gown was perfect!”
What traditions did you incorporate?
“We did not see each other until I walked down the aisle, we used traditional vows but added in a few extra lines that were important to us… I think those are the main traditions we used.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“There were a couple! My Matron of Honor, my older sister, prayed a beautiful and love-filled prayer over me with my bridesmaids and mom before we went to walk down the aisle.
Also during the reception, Bobby and I were able to sneak up to the balcony that overlooks the Turnbull’s 4th floor. We got to watch all of our guests dancing/enjoying the night and we also got a moment alone to soak it in!”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“‘Latch(Acoustic)’ – Sam Smith, We listened to this song in the car together and we both just felt it was perfect. Seriously listen to it, it’s so so full of love! but make sure it’s the ACOUSTIC version!”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“We gave our guests confetti poppers that were made to look like mini champagne bottles! They shot gold confetti into the air as we walked through to our car! We found confetti pieces in our hair, clothes, shoes, etc. for the next couple days!”
Best wishes Grace & Bobby!
