How did you meet?
“We met when we were 10 years old. He played football and I cheered for our little league team. I had a crush on him and thought he was so cute, so I asked him to be my boyfriend and he turned me down. We didn’t cross paths again until we were 20 years old and from then on it was like it was always meant to be.”
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“Picking only one quality that I love about Jordan is hard because he is such an amazing person. But what I love most is his heart. He would do anything for anybody and loves so deeply.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I found a specific picture on Pinterest of bridesmaids wearing quartz/dusty rose colored dresses with the greenery, burgundy, blush bouquets and I loved it. So once we found our bridesmaids dresses based off of the inspiration from the picture, everything just flowed into place from there.”
How about your dress or attire?
“When I was young I loved Maggie Sottero dresses and would always fantasize about having one. Before my dress appointment I had a few designers and dresses picked out, but then I saw this specific dress in a magazine and ironically it was Maggie Sottero. It was the first dress I saw when I walked into the store and it was the first one I tried on.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“The most memorable moment was when the doors opened and I saw Jordan standing at the end of the aisle. He started to cry and it was like everyone around us disappeared.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“‘Millionaire’ by Chris Stapleton. It’s a song that when we both hear it, it makes us think of each other. No matter how much or little we have, our love for each other is the most important thing and all that matters.”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“We decided to not do a grand exit but instead do a pom pom entrance into our reception. We are big UT football fans and our wedding was on the TN/Florida game. Kickoff started at the same time as the reception, so it was only fitting that we came out to Rocky Top and had an orange and white pom pom tunnel waiting for us!”
Happily Ever After Nikki & Jordan!
