Romance meets elegant garden party meets one big party of a reception –– that’s exactly what this Knoxville wedding was all about. And obsessed is definitely an understatement for how we feel about Leah & Stephon’s big day! With the venue as Castleton Farms and a dream team of some of Knoxville’s best wedding pros, you’re going to flip over it, too! Check it all out below with some insight from Leah!

How did you meet?
“Stephon and I met at a mutual friend’s wedding in Cincinnati. The moment I saw my future husband to be, I basically had my eye on him the entire night. Lucky for me, Stephon got a nice little push from his boys to keep his eye on me as well. Contrary to popular belief, I tried to play my crush on Stephon cool, but everyone attending the wedding knew otherwise! After a lot of playing hard to get on Stephon’s end, we were introduced and spent the night talking and dancing. The rest is history!”

When did you know you were falling in love?
“We both knew pretty quickly that we had met “the one.” We were long distance at the beginning of our relationship, so we had to be very intentional with one another. It was crazy, but after Stephon visited me the first time I knew I would love him.”

What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“My favorite quality about my husband is his confidence. Stephon is very secure and knows what he wants. Our goals have always aligned because he has been straight up about what he wants from me, from himself and from us.”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“The theme of our wedding was romantic & elegant garden wedding. I loved so many different qualities from different weddings that it was hard for me to refine the theme. I really wanted the ceremony and dinner portion to be beautifully detailed and the reception to be one big party.”

What traditions did you incorporate?
“We included a Ketubah in our ceremony. A Ketubah is a Jewish marriage contract that is written on a beautiful piece of artwork. It was the centerpiece of our ceremony and it was so beautiful.”

What was the most memorable moment?
“The most memorable moment of our wedding was dinner. Stephon and I decided to not eat dinner with our guests, and instead pick a sweet spot secluded from everyone to have our first meal as husband and wife. We did not do a first look, so that really was the only alone time we got and it was very romantic. I would suggest every couple do it!”

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“Our first dance was to ‘Adorn’ by Miguel. Stephon and I bonded over old school R&B when we met because it was our genre by choice. We both knew every word to every song so when picking our first dance, we wanted to stay true to that. We also wanted a song that everyone could groove to that would get the party started.”

We wish you the best, Leah & Stephon!
