We’re hopelessly in love with this Tri-Cities wedding, featuring a rustic, vintage theme and Southern details in pastel hues that are irresistible!
Samantha and Nicholas created a DIY wedding haven, filled with all things nice and adorable. Not only is their signage rather unique, but the entire celebration also embodies Southern class with a whole lot of rustic charm. All in all, every detail has us captivated. From the bridesmaids in lacey mint gowns to the groomsmen in gray suits and dapper mint bow ties, we’re hooked! Even the littlest bridal party members wow in vintage-inspired attire that’s too cute to describe. Finally, the bride stuns in a lacey gown with full skirt, amping up the romance factor with every step down the aisle. Extra attention went into every detail throughout the reception as well, giving guests loads to talk about – and even more to enjoy viewing! This wedding is Southern goodness at its finest.
Get inspired by Samantha and Nicholas’ rustic, vintage Tri-Cities wedding by sticking with a cool color palette and unique details guests will love.

Tell us about your love story!
We met at East Tennessee State University. God made him for me. We are so similar in so many ways. We get along so well, we are best friends. I love every minute with him. He popped the question in an elaborate proposal that is now on YouTube.

Describe your wedding planning process.
We were engaged for one year almost to the day! My mom and maid of honor were my greatest help in planning! We did not hire a planner. I used Pinterest every single day for inspiration! The Pink Bride helped so much for inspiration and making connections with vendors as well! I feel like my best decision was my photographers. I would spend any amount of money for good photography because pictures last forever. It doesn’t matter what goes wrong that day, when you look at these beautiful pictures, you feel like it was a perfect day!
What was your wedding day budget (and for how many guests)?
Our wedding budget was around $15,000, and we had 230 guests. We saved by doing a ton of Do-It-Yourself projects, and we splurged on the photography.
Recap your big day for us.
I laughed at the reception and cried during the ceremony. The most memorable moments were his vows, our first dance, dancing the night away, the photobooth, and so many others.
What about the details?
My theme was Rustic Elegance. I am a country girl, but my husband is a classy man, so we tried to combine our tastes as much as possible and it turned out beautiful!
What’s the best advice you can give a bride and groom planning their wedding?
I would say that they need to plan ahead as much as possible and DELEGATE responsibilities!!! Do not try to do it all yourself.
What do you look forward to most as Mr. & Mrs.?
I looked forward to coming home to him every day. Being his wife, and living our life together.
What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage?
How much responsibility it is. We are on our own and have a house. It’s a lot to do, clean, and take care of. It’s shocking! Right now, I am still just so exhausted. We have been married for a little over a month, and I still cannot get over how draining the process was leading up to the wedding! I am so enjoying the day-to-day rituals of married life. I love him coming home to me, me kissing his cheek every morning before I leave, spending so much time together. I love our lives.
