Savannah and Matt’s wedding, shot by Sterling Imageworks, is the perfect combination of classic meets personal, and we can’t get enough! From tapping their first dance too the cutest sparkler grand exit, this couple’s special day is one for the books!
What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?
Matt is the most loyal person I’ve ever known. He would do absolutely anything for his family and friends, and that is a quality I admire so much. When it comes to his loved ones, he puts himself last, and I learn so much from his selflessness and loyalty.
When did you know you were falling in love?
We were best friends first. We talked about everything and spent every day together. Eventually, the dynamic of our relationship began shifting, and before we knew it, we both had realized we were falling in love and there was no turning back!
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra. It is my all-time favorite song, and for as long as I can remember, I have wanted to dance to that song at my wedding. The song represented everything we wanted the day to be- classic, timeless, and romantic. Plus, we knew we were going to be incorporating tap dancing into our first dance, and it’s a great song for that!
Tell us about your grand exit!
Another very surreal moment. The entire day flew by, so taking a moment to stop and look around at all of the most special, important people in our lives, holding up sparklers, lighting us up, and wishing us well, completed our wedding day.
How would you describe your big day in 3 words?
Peaceful, Glowing, Perfect!
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
Timeless style with a modern twist. The rose gold theme accomplished this really well and tied everything together.
What was the most memorable moment?
Hands down: meeting eyes at the moment I started walking down the aisle. It was so surreal for both of us, but it is the part of the day that isn’t a blur. Neither of us will ever forget that moment.
Who is usually guilty of watching “your show” without the other?
Neither! That would probably turn into the biggest fight we’ve ever had!
