Ryan says that it was at a sushi shop, while I tend to side with Match.com. He said that I had to graduate with my Bachelors degree before being proposed to, so he waited a few hours after that before doing so. Ryan gave my dog a bone with a note attached to it to give to me as my graduation present from him. I grabbed the bone and threw the note away without reading it, not knowing there was a message on it. Ryan encouraged me to read it, so I did and was confused at first until I turned around, and he was on one knee proposing to me. The note from my dog read “Can we keep him?”

At the wedding reception, we had a memory table that included wedding day photographs of our family members. A candle was lit for those who have passed or were unable to attend. Our wedding colors were royal blue and fuchsia. Aside from planning the entire honeymoon, Ryan came up with the idea of coasters as our wedding favors. The groom’s cake design was also originally thought up by him. Ryan had the help of his best man in coming up with the men’s formal wear. All wedding party entrance music was picked out by him, including the infamous “Hail to the Redskins” for our entrance song – a perfect fit for “Redskin” Ryan!

We honestly believe that we picked the very best professionals in our area. KLP Photography and NICHOLAS & KEATON were great at making the photographs and video not seem like a process, but a relaxing time among friends. They were a joy to be around on what can be an incredibly stressful day! It was as if we had known and worked with them for years. The cakes turned out incredible! Cheryl from The Perfect Ending was able to give us exactly what we desired. She made the top layer of the wedding cake gluten-free, so I was able to enjoy it, as well. Ryan loved his Dodgers and Redskins hat designs, even though he couldn’t wear them! The designers at Crouch Florist did a great job of arranging bouquets and centerpieces from the few recommendations they were given, based on color and flowers.
