This surprise Biltmore Estate marriage proposal will have you swooning.
From the bride’s elation to the groom’s meticulous planning, this love story is one for the books! Beyond the sweet proposal, the couple chose a picturesque setting for the engagement photos in the Tri-Cities, and I couldn’t love the images more. They even included a nod to the bride’s love for Harry Potter…which I am totally excited about sharing! Check out this sweet couple’s engagement announcement below for an extra-special side of romance today.
The proposal story!
The weekend was set for my friend and I to visit Biltmore in Asheville, NC!
She had never been, so I was very excited for her to see one of my favorite places! When we arrived at Biltmore that Saturday afternoon, my friend had me going all over the place! We were down at the fountains when she “remembered” she didn’t get a picture with the statue Diana, which was in the opposite direction of the house up a hill! We made our way back to the statue to take pictures. As we were taking our photos, I could tell my friend was acting odd and on her phone a lot, so I was trying to act goofy with the statue to cheer her up! So, we turn around to head back to the house, and I see two men holding a sign that says “Marry Me?” and a man on his knee. I grabbed my friend and said, “Oh no Sarah, we are in the middle of someone’s proposal!” And then it hit me, “Is this for me?”
I couldn’t get to him soon enough. I started running down the hill, well more like a light jog! Once I got to Ryan, he was so nervous he was shaking! He asked, and I said yes!
The two men holding the marry me sign were my very best best best friends who had moved to VA!
Everyone had planned this just for us, and it was a beautiful and amazing surprise!!
Ryan is currently in graduate school for physical therapy at ETSU! He is very active and loves all sports!
I, Moriah, work at a medical supply company in Erwin, TN. I am a bit of a nerd for Harry Potter and I love to read!
We both share a huge love for all things movies and nerdy things!
We have been together for 7 years and plan to get married September 2017!!
Many congratulations, Moriah and Ryan! The Pink Bride couldn’t be happier for you.
Happy Pink Planning!
