If you love a natural themed wedding with that effortlessly elegant vibe, Devon & Matt’s celebration at Spring Creek Ranch is totally for you! Not only do we love this venue and the natural light it gives, but there were so many moments of this day that are truly heartwarming like Devon’s first look with her dad! Elizabeth Looney captured it all wonderfully! See her stunning photos and all the details from the bride herself below!
How did you meet?
“We met in college.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“Very early in our relationship, about 5 years ago.”
What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?
“He has such a genuine heart and cares for everyone, not just me. He is a kind person to anyone he meets.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I went with a garden theme with natural tones and incorporated the natural beauty of the outdoors and springtime.”
How about your dress or attire?
“My dress was an absolute dream. Simple but elegant with a big skirt. The men wore a pretty blue suit with sage green ties to match the bridesmaids in sage green. Matt wore an ivory tie to match my dress.”
What traditions did you incorporate?
“Traditional vows, lace handkerchief from his mom, bridal entrance to Canon in D played by the string quartet.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“Dave Matthews Band – ‘You and Me.’ Dave Matthews has been a favorite of mine forever and Matt grew to love him after one of our first dates to one of his concerts. He later surprised me for my birthday to another concert of his.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“Of course, the vows and smiling at Matt at the altar was probably my favorite part. I couldn’t believe I was getting to marry this super hot man that I loved so much and I was over the moon excited! Our first dance might have been one of my favorite moments too though. We had taken lessons from my mom, and we were so excited but nervous that we would forget everything we learned. Matt was super excited to do a big spin and a dip, and we knocked it out of the park. It was so much fun and we laughed the entire time.”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“Ohhh the balloons!! We had LED lit white balloons that lined the walkway with all of our guests and they released them into the dark sky as we left. The balloons went on forever in the black country sky. It was beautiful!!”
