There is one thing I can guarantee will happen at every wedding: guests (probably impatiently) waiting for the food! It’s one wedding aspect that we’ve all heard discussed countless times, whether good or bad.

With help from our friends at The Kitchen at Shelby Farms Park, we’ve brought you two things that will take your wedding menu from blah and boring to divine and savory! Plus, an extra it-can’t-hurt-to-have item either!

Fresh ingredients are the simplest way to kick your menu up a notch! The taste will be UNBELIEVABLE, and I can promise you’ll notice the difference. Fresh herbs, handmade ravioli, and natural ingredients? Honestly, what more could you ask for in an Italian feast?

Choose all fresh ingredients for your salad or simple dish, and enjoy your meal on a whole different level. The Kitchen at Shelby Farms Park gets all of their ingredients from farmers, ranchers, and purveyors located in and around the Memphis area. If you’ve got a lot of out-of-town guests, planning a destination wedding, or celebrating in your hometown of Memphis, this is a perfect tribute to the city!

Creativity. If you want your guests to be talking about your food all night, it could be because of two things: it’s good or it’s different. Well, why not both? This doesn’t mean, however, that you have to go completely exotic with your menu. You can use that creativity in little ways. Add a little bright color to an otherwise neutral dish or a new herb or topping to a classic meal!
