Classic, timeless, and all white, Krista and Nick’s wedding day was absolutely perfect! They decided to take their festivities back to Oxford where they not only went to school together, but where their love story began! How sweet! Check it all out below with photos by the wonderful Elizabeth Looney Photography!
How did you meet?
“We met in high school and both moved off to Ole Miss where we started dating. We chose Oxford, MS to get married at because that’s where it all started! We went to our first concert together at The Lyric Oxford, so the venue choice was a no brainer for us!”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“Before dating, we started out as best friends and shortly into our relationship we knew this was it.”
What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?
Nick: “Her selflessness.”
Krista: “His determination and hard work in everything he does in life.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I really wanted an all white, classic wedding with neutral tones incorporated in. I did my flowers all white and incorporated blush and gold tones throughout the wedding. I wanted a classy, timeless, and elegant wedding that we could look back on twenty years from now and still think it’s classy.”
How about your dress or attire?
“We really wanted it to be the classic style. Black tie and floor length gowns.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“By far, our first look! I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life. I cry all over again every time I relive it. We’ve been dating for 6 years and have waited for that very moment for a long time.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran. We took awhile to decide on our first dance song because we knew how special that moment is supposed to be. It’s funny how we decided on it because Nick told me randomly one day about a song he heard and he thinks it should be our first dance song. Sure enough it was the same one that I was already thinking of, so we knew it was the one! Shortly after that, Nicks sister texted us and told us she just heard this song on the radio called ‘Perfect’ and how perfect of a first dance song it would be for us. That song tells our story and we weren’t the only ones to think that!”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“We had a sparkler exit with a 1949 Rolls Royce waiting on us! It’s truly some of our favorite pictures!”
Best wishes Krista & Nick!
