Rachel’s love for photography began a decade ago with the completion of her college degree.
She states, “I have been in the business for about 10 years. After graduating Brooks Institute with a BA in Commercial Advertising, I assisted various photographers in Los Angeles before moving to Knoxville in 2010, when I took over children/family portrait studio Reflections & Images. In 2015, I joined forces with Kristin, and we launched the wedding division, TowersBrooks Photography.”
For TowersBrooks Photography, Rachel and Kristin’s love for wedding photography stems from a desire to capture precious, real connections – both via camera and in real-life relationships.
“One of the things we love most about photographing weddings is the genuine connection we get to build with our clients,” Rachel explains. “It’s such an amazing and emotional day, and we are honored to get to be a part of it (and we love a good party)!”
Rachel and Kristin use their expertise to give clients a truly unique experience.
“We realized there was a need for a photography team that really understands the ins and outs of the entire wedding process,” Rachel adds. “We get to share our photography expertise in a fun and energetic environment.”
As for services and style, the entire focus of TowersBrooks Photography is on the client.
From getting to know you to planning photography sessions that meet your style and needs, Rachel and Kristin place emphasis on you.
Rachel describes, “We run a service-based company where we really want to get to know our couples. We usually start with an in-person consultation to see if we are going to be a great fit for each other, and then we launch into gathering details and planning your engagement or bridal sessions.”
For TowersBrooks Photography, really clicking with clients is a must.
In fact, it’s something Rachel states is important for all brides to focus on with their photographers, regardless of who they choose!
“It’s important that we love our couples and that they love us,” Rachel continues. “Of all the vendors you hire for a wedding, most will come and go, but your photographer is with you all day long. When we arrive on your wedding day, we want to show up as your friend – remaining professional, of course, but enjoying the day with you, celebrating with you…maybe dancing with you!”
Every wedding package booked with TowersBrooks Photography includes two photographers to capture your day from a variety of perspectives.
This detail is what Rachel states sets them apart from other local wedding photographers.
“We think the biggest detail that sets us apart from other wedding photographers is that every wedding comes with two photographers,” she explains. “Nowadays, there are so many details that go into planning a wedding that, with two photographers, we can capture twice as much in half the time. One gets to hang with the bride, and the other the groom, so we aren’t doing the back and forth dance quite as much.”
TowersBrooks Photography can even help you preserve those priceless wedding memories after your big day via a full suite of print and heirloom options.
“We believe that every wedding should end with something tangible,” Rachel details. “Both Kristin and I have learned, with our own personal wedding experiences, that if you don’t take the time right after your marriage to create your wedding album or select a few wall portraits, the likelihood of it ever happening drops to almost zero by the first anniversary.”
Think of it as an opportunity to create your first family heirloom with your new husband!
“We consider your wedding album to be the first heirloom/legacy of your new life together, and we enjoy the process of curating and designing something beautiful that our couples can look back on.”
Both Rachel and Kristin know what’s in store for your big day from first-hand experience.
Rachel is recently married and just had her first child, so she isn’t too far removed from the wedding experience. Kristin has been married “forever” (13 years) and has two beautiful girls. They are both muti-tasking go-getters who love an excuse to throw a party!
