From the second we saw Caroline and Taylor’s stunning summer engagement party with tropical details, fun food trucks, and meaningful personal touches, we were in love! You can really feel the joy surrounding this couple and they celebrate with their friends and family! See the photos from the amazing party below with some fun Q&A with the bride-to-be!
Tell us a little bit about your love story.
For separate reasons, we found ourselves at a casino charity night in March 2018. I went for the first time with friends that invited me. Taylor went with his group of friends that go every year! The moment we met, we locked eyes and shared a joke. We kept each other in our line of sight throughout the party. At the end of the night, Taylor came up to me, and we connected right away. Shortly after we left to sing karaoke together with friends and danced and laughed for the rest of the night!
What could have been the end was the beginning of a whole weekend together when Taylor invited me to brunch the next day. Brunch was followed by a trip to the dog park with my dog, more karaoke with his parents on Saturday night, family dinner on Sunday night with my parents, and a concert on Monday! Needless to say, we’ve been inseparable ever since.
Tell us all about your amazing engagement party.
We were so excited to have our engagement party at my parent’s house. The lush garden is perfect for photos. Their large outdoor space was perfect for the food trucks and outdoor bar setup. We invited our whole family and the wedding party, plus a few friends that lived in town. We eat at Mission Taco Joint almost every week, so we knew we had to have them as our main food truck. That, plus our signature cocktail (mojitos), made the party
How are the wedding plans coming along?
I am so lucky to have a fiancé who is just as excited as me to plan our awesome party. Wedding planning has been relatively easy. I think that is because the wedding is not until October 2020. We have chosen the date and the venue, which are the biggest details.
What detail about your wedding day are you most excited about (other than getting to marry the love of your life)?
My fiancé loves music – it’s his whole life! He is an elementary school music teacher, and he coaches drumline at a high school. He is also in an acapella group called One Too Many (@otmacappella). The detail we are most looking forward to is the live band! It is the number one request on our wedding list.
What are your plans for your honeymoon?
We are planning on going to the Mediterranean, particularly Italy and France. We plan to enjoy the wine country and the beautiful beaches by the sea. We’ll wait until summer so that we can take advantage of my fiancé summer break as a teacher.
