This winter wonderland wedding in Knoxville combined both classic wintery elements with nods to the groom’s Bahamian roots! We absolutely love how personal & unique this wedding feels to the couple. After all, wedding days are about you and your relationship, so why not?! See this one below with beautiful photos by Kelsey Shea Photography and a Q&A with Kristin!

How did you meet?
“We met in college in math class.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“I knew I was falling in love with Chad when he continue to pursue me and was always there for me.”

What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“I love how he is so caring and would go out of his way to help anyone.”

What traditions did you incorporate?
“We did the unity cross during the ceremony. Also, we didn’t do a first look.”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“It was a winter wonderland type theme. Our altar was wooden logs with candles and evergreen. Maryvl from Team Wedding really brought the theme together for us. The floral was by Melissa Timm Designs which did an awesome job for my bouquet. My husband is from the Bahamas so we wanted to be sure to add some of his culture to the theme as well. At cocktail hour, we had pictures of us hanging on a net then we also had TriStar Scribe do the favor and table placements on sand dollars placed in sand. For the food we had a mix of American and Bahamian food. Finally our exit carried over to our winter theme and we did snow exit.”

How about your dress or attire?
“I got my dress from White Lace and Promises. When I went to look for a dress I imagined myself in a tight fitted dress, but the moment I put on this ballroom dress with a low cut in the back with a beautiful lace design in the front I could not imagine myself in anything else.”

What was the most memorable moment?
“The most memorable moment was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing my husband for the first time that day. Also, the reception because everyone was having the best time. People I have never seen before were dancing thanks to Jim Ogle.”

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“‘Spend My Life With You’ by Eric Benet and Tamia.”

Tell us about your grand exit!
“As I said before, for my grand exit I wanted to be different. So Marvyl had a great idea to carry it over with the winter wedding theme with snow.”

Congratulations Kristin & Chad!
