What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?

Anna: “That’s a hard one! I love when he is happy or excited. When he is, you can see it all over his face — in his eyes, smile, cheeks. It’s so cute! When he is happy, I am happy. I also love his humor!”

Codi: “She is the most selfless person I have ever met. She is always thinking about how to help others without expecting anything in return. Also, I love the excitement she shows when I do something for her. No matter how small the chore or gift, when she knows I’m thinking of her, it means the world and the look in her eyes makes it all worthwhile.”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?

“We are very classic, Southern and, at times, traditional. I wanted the day to be a representation of who we are, and I think it was achieved! Our wedding hashtag was #PrincessGotHerCastle since our last name is Castle.”

What traditions did you incorporate?

“We had a fairly traditional wedding ceremony, including our vows and lighting of the unity candle, but we also wanted it to be unique to us. Two of our friends who were also bridesmaid and groomsmen sang ‘One From Two’ by Kara Young while we were lighting the unity candle, a song Codi had recorded and mixed when he was in college. It was amazing, and so special to us.”

What was the most memorable moment?

“So many!! One that sticks out was our first look. I was so anxious about everything coming together, and when he hugged me during our first look, I could breathe again. Everything was in place.”

What would you recommend to every bride-to-be?

“Get a wedding coordinator! You don’t need all the extra day-of stress. My bridesmaids had to stop me from going to the reception area to check on things when we were supposed to be getting ready!”

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?

“’My Best Friend’ by Tim McGraw. When we met, we instantly became inseparable. We were best friends for months before anything became romantic. I think that is what has made our relationship so strong. He’s my best friend and I can’t imagine life without him.”
